‘I was so helpess,’ Walnut Place tornado victim says
“It was scary,” Mike Bennett said, his voice wavering and tears building in his eyes as he surveyed what was left of his home on Happy Trail. “I was so helpless. I will do anything to protect my family, and I couldn’t do anything.”
The Bennetts had moved into their newly renovated Northeast Austin home in August. Their home was badly damaged in yesterday’s storm.

I love dioramas. They remind me of those childhood days of setting up my toy soldiers in elaborate battle scenes. Sometimes I thought they were so great that I didn’t even start the battle. The plastic soldiers would remain frozen for the day, poised in the middle of combat, until i was forced to clean them up. I was an anal child. (via)
